Subject: Please Support Hudson’s Law

Dear Legislator,

I am writing to ask you to support Hudson’s Law. On July 13, 2025, an impaired driver made the choice to get behind the wheel—and that choice took the lives of a baby boy, Hudson, and his mother’s close friend, Jen. But this tragedy was not caused by one decision alone. Someone else had the opportunity to stop that driver. Someone else knew what was happening. And under current law, that person faces no accountability. Hudson’s Law seeks to change that. This legislation would hold passengers accountable when they knowingly allow an impaired driver to get behind the wheel and someone is killed or seriously injured. It would also ensure that if you are the owner of a vehicle and you allow an impaired person to drive it, you are held responsible. Because when a life could have been saved, silence, inaction, and enabling should not come without consequence. No family should have to live with a loss that could have been prevented. Please stand with victims, survivors, and families like mine. Please support Hudson’s Law and help close this gap in accountability. Thank you for your time and for your commitment to protecting the people of our state.

Sincerely,

[Your Name] [Your Town]
